Apple's WWDC is next week and all rumors point to a new Apple TV announcement so they might be king of this space very shortly. Nvidia has a new one that is more powerful but IMO its too expensive. I've messed about with just about any combination you can in this space and In my opinion currently fire tv is the most bang for your buck in this space (It supports miracast for video). Chromecast wasn't even close and airplay to the apple tv was "ok" but if you spend any time in action type game the latency was too high. Obviously the large players (Wii U, Sony, etc) do a good job beaming high resolution through custom protocols, bluetooth, or your WiFi but they obviously have much more horsepower at their disposal. See what people are saying about this story in our forums area, or check out other recent discussions.I have yet to see any of the limited hardware platforms (chromecast, apple tv, etc) get latency and high resolution right.
